2How much does therapy cost?

FEES AND PAYMENT

The following fees apply to clients who are South African residents and who earn their income in South Africa:

Initial and subsequent couple sessions:

60-minute session — R850
90-minute session — R950

The fee for the initial couple assessment session is payable via EFT at least 48 hours prior to the session. Subsequent accounts may be settled at the end of the calendar month.

For clients who generate their income outside of South Africa, the following international fees apply:

Couple sessions:

90-minute initial or subsequent session — US$120
60-minute subsequent session — US$100

International session fees are payable in US dollars. International payments are preferably made via PayPal.

3Do I need a referral?
No, you generally do not need a referral.
4What are my payment options?

5Will medical aid cover therapy?

I can claim directly from your medical aid, except for the Initial Couple’s and Individual Session which must be paid via EFT 48 hours before the session.

Some medical aid schemes will cover therapy from your savings account. No payment will be covered in the absence of a savings plan.

6Is online therapy available?

Yes. I am available for online appointments via Zoom on request.

7Can you prescribe medication?

No. The only health professional who can prescribe medication is a medical doctor or psychiatrist.

8What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is used to help a person get to the problems or trauma by redirecting the person’s eyes to tap into negative emotions. This is done to locate specific “brain spots” accessed through particular eye positioning that will help in dealing with the problem.
