How can I book an appointment?

You can book online here or contact the practice via telephone or email.

1How much does therapy cost?

Individual Fee (Initial and follow up sessions):
R700 per 50-61 minute session

Couples' Initial Session:
R880 (60–90 minute session)

Couples’ Subsequent Sessions:
R800 (60 to 75 minutes) or R920 (75 to 90 minutes)

First session fee is required to be paid at least 48 hours before the session with POP (proof of payment) sent to admin@drjohnbosman.com. In the absence of a booking fee paid in the required time, the booking will be cancelled.

2Do I need a referral?
You generally do not need a referral.
3What are my payment options?

4Will medical aid cover therapy?

Dr Bosman can claim directly from your medical aid, except for the Initial Couple’s and Individual Session which has to be paid via EFT 48 hours before the session.

Some medical aid schemes will cover therapy from your savings account. No payment will be covered in the absence of a savings plan.

The practice DOES NOT accept Profmed, Motohealth, Spectramed, and GEMS.

5What is Brainspotting?

Brainspotting is a brain-body based psychotherapy and we get direct access into a person’s brain where they hold their problems or trauma through their visual field

6Does Dr Bosman offer online therapy?

Yes, Dr Bosman may conduct Skype or Zoom appointments where applicable.

7Can Dr Bosman prescribe medication?

The only health professional that can prescribe medication is a medical doctor or psychiatrist.
